La Fundación  porqueViven presente en Divercole, las Jornadas sobre diversidad, organizadas por el CEIP Joaquín Costa de Madrid.

Madrid 08 May 2025.- The Foundation porqueViven joins the Conference Divercole 2025, organized by the AFA of the CEIP Joaquín Costa in Madrid between May 8 and 12. This event, which this year is extended by one more day due to the excellent reception it received in 2024, brings together students from 3rd to 6th grade to live a unique experience of empathy, inclusion and learning in a playful environment.

Vivir en la piel del otro… jugando

Throughout the week, playgrounds are transformed into obstacle courses, gymkhanas and sensory challenges in which children must overcome tests while blindfolded or in wheelchairs. These activities, designed to simulate the physical and sensory barriers faced by other children in their daily lives, aim to raise awareness of functional diversity at an early age.

“Participating in Divercole is a great opportunity to bring children closer to different realities through empathy, without drama and through play,” says María Rodríguez Núñez, Occupational Therapist at Divercole. porqueViven.

Una alianza por la inclusión

This initiative also counts on the collaboration of entities such as the ONCE, that together with the Foundation porqueViven contribute their experience in working with vulnerable children and advocating for a more inclusive society.

“The role of the third sector in these spaces is key to sowing social awareness from an early age,” adds the spokeswoman of porqueViven.

From the educational community, enthusiasm is also evident. Lucía López García, president of the AFA of the center, emphasizes that “making our children aware of diversity and inclusion from an early age is an investment in the society we want to build.”

Divercole 2025 is not only a celebration of play: it is a commitment to coexistence, respect and the construction of a more open view towards difference. A week that leaves its mark beyond the schoolyard.
